Achievements & Future goals

  • 2016

    Ribon is founded by three students from the University of Brasilia: Rafael Rodeiro, João Moares and Juju. The goal is to create a solution that popularizes the donation habit among Millennials and Generation Z.

  • 2017

    Ribon's first donation is officially made. BRL 2,500 are sent to 4 of the most efficient NGOs in the world. The model is well accepted by the public that grows consistently.

  • 2018

    Ribon participates in the Cotidiano Camp - the main startup accelerator of Brasília - and is selected to be accelerated due to this experience. With the investment received, Ribon triples its team and begins to make important improvements to its product.

  • 2019

    Ribon's user base grows by 10x quickly. Parallel to this growth, Ribon closes its first round of investments led by Redpoint eventures,the first Silicon Valley fund in Brazil. All this relevance ends up bringing awards such as: 100 Startups To Watch, AMCHAM Arena Brasília, Seedstars Brazil and Seedstars LATAM.

  • 2020

    The Coronavirus pandemic leads Ribon to change its business model and promote the entry of Brazilian NGOs on the platform. As a result, 11 new NGOs now receive donations at Ribon, generating a positive impact on 97,551 lives that were left in a situation of social and economic vulnerability due to the pandemic.

  • 2021

    Ribon launches a beta version that allows the integration of its donation interface to any digital platform. Its business model is recognized as one of the most innovative solutions in the world related to charitable giving by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Another round of investment is closed, this time led by Harvard Angels.

  • 2022

    Ribon begins its internationalization process by launching its platform in the United States and England. Expectations are high as countries represent the two largest philanthropic markets in the world.

  • 2023

    Ribon lists its product on blockchain. Its token facilitates transactions between donors and social projects, in addition to bringing more transparency and reliability to the operations carried out on the platform.

  • 2030

    Extreme poverty is eradicated from the planet thanks to the insertion of the habit of donation in people's routine. Ribon's technology is considered a key element for this achievement.
