By using Ribon, you automatically agree to these terms of use, taking full responsibility for all actions you take on Ribon or in services related to it. contato@ribon.io. Ribon is a platform that integrates donations into people’s digital routines through donation tickets that allow anyone to donate following a few simple steps. The app allows users to make donations to non-profit organizations and track the impact of their contributions. It is a unique and innovative framework, created by the Ribon team, developed interactively since 2016, and awarded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and IDEO as one of the 10 most innovative platforms in the global donation market.
It is crucial to read all the following information carefully to follow and make donations through the Ribon platform. If you cannot access any of the information, the user should contact support through the app or via contato@ribon.io.
By creating an account, the user declares that they have read, understood, and agreed to the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy, available for consultation at the time of registration.
Ribon is a donation platform, both personal and corporate, connecting users to social causes. Additionally, it allows donors to become subscribers and, by doing so, join a global donation culture. This way, donations to social projects can increase, promote a culture of giving worldwide, and make people happier.
To access Ribon and use its features, registration is required. To register, you will provide us with personal information, as described in our Privacy Policy. Your employer or another entity that provides you access to Ribon’s Business Plan may also initiate the registration process. To use Ribon, you must be at least 18 years old.
Upon registration, you will have an account that can only be accessed by you. If Ribon detects any account created with false information, by users who, for instance, do not meet the minimum age requirement, that account will be automatically deleted.
From now on, you commit to keeping your personal information up to date. You also agree to keep your login secure and out of the reach of others, and not allow your Ribon account to be used by others. Thus, the user is responsible for all actions performed on their account.
Alternatively, Ribon may offer the possibility of registering through third-party services such as Apple, Google, or similar tools. In this case, you authorize Ribon to access, store, and use the information provided by third parties to create your Ribon account.
Ribon reaffirms that it has NO connection with these third parties, and assumes no responsibility or guarantees, in any way, the products or services provided by them.
3. How do I access Ribon?
The processing of the personal data provided will be carried out in accordance with the Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Federal Law No. 13,709/2018, also known as "LGPD"). Users have the right to access, correct, and request the deletion of their personal data at any time by contacting: dpo@ribon.io.

4. Subscription and plan cancellation
Ribon offers both free and paid services, as defined below.
Free Access
You can access our platform and create a Ribon account at no cost, collecting tickets for free from the Ribon platform or Integration Partners. Ribon reserves the right to add or remove Partners at any time, as well as to adjust the frequency and quantity of free tickets provided by them or by the Ribon platform, at its sole discretion, without prior notice.
Integration Partners collaborate with Ribon to distribute donation tickets for specific actions performed on their platform, redirecting users to the Ribon platform to continue their donations.
Ribon Ambassador Subscription
Users are allowed to make a one-time paid donation, as well as paid subscription plans, always in advance, with the possibility of recurrence for subscriptions. If the payment date does not occur every month (e.g., the 31st), the payment will be charged on the previous business day (e.g., the 28th or 30th). The plan will automatically renew unless you cancel it before the billing date.
You can cancel your subscription at any time, and it will be understood as a clear indication that you do not intend to renew the license for the next billing cycle. Canceling does not oblige Ribon to refund the payment for the current month when you opted not to renew the contractual relationship.
At Ribon, we understand that each plan suits the impact you wish to make and what you can afford at the moment. Therefore, we offer the option to switch between plans (subject to resource availability in each case), editing or upgrading/downgrading your subscription. It is important to note that users who cancel or leave Paid Versions will not lose their account or the content they have generated, but they will revert to a free plan, losing access to exclusive features from the paid plan they were part of.
In exceptional cases, such as billing errors or failure to deliver contracted services, users may request a full or partial refund, to be reviewed by Ribon. Any changes to subscription prices will be communicated to the user at least 30 days in advance.
Business Plan
Sponsors of Ribon’s Business Plan services, such as your employer or another entity offering you the opportunity to use Ribon’s Business Plan, are responsible for providing a special kind of ticket subscription, with the aim of promoting corporate donation engagement, connecting users to social causes.
The terms of the Business Plan offered to you (including ticket quantity, duration of access, available projects for donation allocation, etc.) are defined in the agreement with your Sponsor. If the contract with the sponsor providing your access to the Business Plan is terminated, your account and generated content will not be lost. Instead, your account will become: (1) a free plan user, losing access to the previously available features; or (2) a Ribon Ambassador, if you are also a subscriber.
5. Subscription and plan cancellation
Payments made on Ribon may be processed through different methods, depending on the type of plan and the channel through which it was contracted.
For plans purchased individually through the app, payments must be made within the platform using the available payment methods at the time — such as credit card, PIX, Google Pay, Apple Pay, among others. The availability of these options may vary depending on the app version and the operating system of the device used.
In the case of enrollment in the Ribon Ambassadors plan under the Business modality, payment may also be made through payroll deduction or other methods agreed directly between Ribon and the contracting company. In these cases, the enrollment may take place outside the app, through an adhesion agreement signed by both parties.
The amount paid by you is final and non-refundable, unless expressly stated otherwise by Ribon.
Ribon reserves the right to establish, remove, and/or revise the price for all services or goods obtained through the use of the application at any time. We will never change your subscription price without notifying you first.
If any tax is applicable, the user is responsible for its collection. If the application collects the tax, it will be passed on to the user in the price.
Payment confirmation through the application will occur within two (2) business days. Payment information processing and confirmation will be carried out by third-party systems (e.g., financial institutions or credit card administrators), with the app acting as a mere interface between the client and these systems.
The user is responsible for providing correct and up-to-date information for financial transactions. Ribon ensures that all transactions will be carried out in a secure environment, using duly certified third-party payment systems.
Certain Ribon products or promotions may require a minimum subscription period. It is important for the user to be aware that if they decide to stop using such products before the minimum subscription period ends, additional fees may be charged.
If Ribon creates a promotional code (for example, a discount coupon), it must be used legally for the purpose and specific audience or user for which it is intended, following all its conditions. The promotional code may be canceled if it is transferred, sold, or used with error, fraud, illegality, or violation of the respective code’s conditions.
6. How are payments made on Ribon?
By creating an account or having your data provided by a third party — such as the Sponsor of Ribon's Business Plan Services, including your employer or another entity offering the plan on your behalf — you agree that Ribon may contact you via email, phone, messaging apps, text message, or other available means, using the information provided by you or the sponsor.
These communications may include information about support, transactions, platform updates, plan activation, marketing campaigns, or other interactions necessary for your experience with Ribon.
You may choose to opt out of promotional emails or communications at any time by following the unsubscribe link or the instructions provided in each message.
7. Will Ribon contact me?
All content, design, layout, graphics, logos, and trademarks in the Ribon application are the exclusive property of Ribon or its licensors. It is prohibited to copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any content from the application without Ribon's express permission.
It is forbidden for users to download our content with the intent to store it in a database to offer to third parties who are not the users themselves.
Users agree to respect the intellectual property rights of third parties who provide content or services through the platform and must consult and accept those third parties' terms of use.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the application at any time in case of suspected fraud, obtaining benefits or advantages illicitly, or for non-compliance with any conditions set out in these Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy, or applicable legislation. In such cases, no compensation will be due to you, and Ribon may take necessary actions to safeguard its interests.
8. What restrictions do I have when using Ribon?
Any claims of copyright infringement regarding content available on Ribon should be sent via email to contato@ribon.io.
9. Copyright infringement complaints
You are solely responsible for your use of Ribon and must adhere to these Terms of Use as well as the applicable legislation.
Ribon, its controllers, affiliates, partners, or employees shall not, under any circumstances, be held liable for direct or indirect damages resulting from, or related to, the access, use, or inability to access or use Ribon.
Given the inherent characteristics of the internet environment, Ribon is not responsible for connection interruptions or suspensions, incomplete or failed computer transmissions, or any technical failure of any kind, including, but not limited to, electronic malfunctions of any network, hardware, or software. The unavailability of internet access or access to Ribon, as well as any incorrect or incomplete information about Ribon and any human, technical, or other types of failure in processing Ribon’s information, will not be considered Ribon's responsibility. Ribon disclaims any liability arising from such facts and/or acts.
Where permitted by law, Ribon and its suppliers or distributors will not be responsible for lost profits, lost revenue, loss of data, financial losses, or for indirect, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages.
It is entirely your responsibility to keep the environment of your device (computer, mobile, tablet, etc.) secure by using available tools, such as antivirus, firewall, among others, to help prevent electronic risks.
Ribon may contain links to third-party sites and applications, as well as integrated technologies with independent third-party providers, such as partners. This does not mean that Ribon endorses, verifies, guarantees, or has any connection with or recommends those third parties. In such situations, Ribon acts only as a facilitator of the transaction between you and such third parties. Therefore, Ribon is not the provider of goods or services, which are provided directly by third-party independent providers. Ribon will not be, under any circumstances, responsible for those third-party products or services, and we reiterate the need for users to read, analyze, and accept the terms of use of any platform that may interface with us.
10. User and Ribon responsibilities
The Ribon application is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Ribon does not guarantee that the application will always be available or error-free. Ribon is not responsible for direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the application.
Ribon is not responsible for technical failures, connection interruptions, or other problems inherent to the digital environment. Additionally, Ribon is not responsible for third-party actions, including payment providers or integration partners, who act independently in providing their services. The user agrees to follow the terms and policies of those third parties, and it is the user's responsibility to verify and accept such terms.
11. Warranty disclaimers and limitation of liability
To improve your experience, Ribon is constantly being updated. For this reason, these Terms of Use may be changed at any time to reflect the adjustments made. If you do not agree with the new Terms of Use, you may reject them, but unfortunately, this means you will no longer be able to access or use Ribon. If you continue to use Ribon after these Terms of Use have been changed, it means you agree to all modifications.
In case of a conflict between these terms and the modified terms, the later terms will prevail concerning the conflict.
